Lifespan-Wisdom Snippets From Peter.

Lifespan

It is said that our lifespan is, “Four scores and ten.” This does sound like a long time, but it passes quickly for those of us that set about enjoying every moment of our lifespan.

I used to spend ages on the internet searching for ways to find more time to complete all my daily tasks. However, I did this until I learned; I can never ‘find’ time because time is an illusion. On the other hand, I am able to make space in my waking moments to accomplish a particular task, yes, but looking for time is a lost cause.

To enjoy that which I have at present is a wise state because it leads to a peaceful existence for me. However, at no extra cost, I can dream that more and much better is up ahead. This is the cherry on the top.

My Grandmother used to say, “You have to take the bitter with the sweet.” I say, do I really?  How about sweetening the bitter?

I Am Not My thoughts

I am not my body nor my mind (which includes my thoughts). Consider this; at the time of my conception, the process of developing my body and mind began. Even more than this there was a third constituent to this precious package, my spirit. My spirit is my built-in capacity to communicate with a world in myself. A world that does not operate in the realm of the senses. More than this, my spirit, unlike my body and mind is untouchable. My spirit remains unaffected by the events in my life, whatever they were. As it was in conception, my spirit’s state remains the same at my point of death. You have heard of the expression, ‘the authentic me.’ This is the authentic me; my untouched spirit, the person I really am.
