Choose Friends Wisely
I must be wise with my choice of friends. If I part for one reason or another from any of them, I must do so kindly, with no ill feelings when I part from those friends. Parting does not mean I cease to love you. (by love, I do not address the romantic love, but the love of our fellow humans.) Adopting this attitude, I have found much peace of mind.
A voicemail message attributed to a certain Pastor Henry Schorr goes like this: “Thanks for calling. I’ve been away making changes in my life. Please leave a message. If you don’t hear back from me, you are one of the changes. Enjoy your day.” (“The Power of Focus.” Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Les Hewitt. page 130.)
